This right here...is the business. Lemons are a stable in the Italian region, and there is an abundance in supply. So what else can you do with lemons beyond the obvious? Why, sell it as alcohol. The drink is very popular in Southern Italy, especially along the Almalfi Coast. It has an ethanol content of approximately 40% and is best served chilled. In the United States it is produced primarily in California, and has a popularity spurt there as well. We bought a few bottles for family and friends, and thus far they have enjoyed it. Our cousin from NYC wants to know where she can get more. We're sure she can go into Manhattan and find it in "Little Italy". LOL!!
